Unseen Beauty

HAIKU HEIGHTS

'Beauty'

UNSEEN BEAUTY.

Beauty rarely seen.
Human eyes are redundant here.
Microscopic beauty in all its glory.

HUMMINGBIRD

Hovering over the chosen flower
Up in the brilliant sky
Moving wings of enormous power;
Manoevering closer by.
In an instant making a dart,
Neatly, with precision!
Guzzling the nectar at the heart;
Bird scalpel! Bird  incision!
Image of daintiness, yet so strong.
Renowned for the speed of wing.
Do you ever pause for song?
Do you have time to sing?

I am coming to your blog after a long time. This poem is quite simple and conveys so easily; and a picture to go with. Good one.

Thanks for your link to Haiku heights! It works! Both the verse and the illustrations for the many overlooked beauties of insects.

Your Haiku is great and so is the photo to go with, I am an avid Macro Photographer and love seeing the tiniest details. I did however enjoy your hummingbird poem as well, so creative!
