Dappled

SEPIA SCENES
http://sepiascenes.blogspot.com/

DAPPLED.

It was meant to be artistic;
It turned out to be mundane!
This girl looked rather charming
As she strummed-out some refrain.
The dappled shadow attracted,
The decorated wall entranced,
The sunlight on the shady leaves
Picked up the theme and danced.
I have a great affection
For our local Beaumont Street,
And here was a tiny corner,
A busy-day retreat.
But oh what an intrusion!
The fellow with the phone!
Why didn't I wait a bit longer
Till my guitarist was alone?

ROAD RAGE
(An Acrostic)

Ridiculous behaviour! Thoughtless and obscene!
Only an idiot would rage, if you know what I mean.
As though we can't cooperate and use the roads together
Decently taking heed of special needs and tricky weather.
*
Rude gestures never ever help they only make us mad.
As for fights, there's not a one that isn't really bad!
Get wise, you drivers! Learn to share the only roads we've got!
Ending as a statistic doesn't help an awful lot!

The girl in your idyllic scene seems more interested in the guy in the phone booth than in her strumming.

Road rage is a real hazard.

You have to wonder, is the couple together? Oh I love your road rage acrostic and cartoon. We are always amazed at the NO road rage here in Khartoum although the traffic is horrific.
